How do I sell my bike?
It may be hard to believe, but at Alchemy we thrive off your old bikes – selling your bike is our passion! Nothing makes us happier than taking your once-loved bike that has spent too many years sitting in the garage, sprucing it up, and selling it to someone who will treat it as if it was brand new. At Alchemy we hate to see a bike not being used to its full potential, so if you have a bike that you no longer want fill out our ‘Sell my bike’ form, or if you’re local bring it down to our showroom for an evaluation!
Selling second-hand bikes is a key passion of ours at Alchemy. With a huge spectrum of knowledge throughout the team, we can take a look at your bike for an evaluation. If your bike was over $1000 RRP when new, we would love to take a look at it.
The Sales process
The sales process is simple, we offer three different options for the sale of your bike:
Trade-in
We will trade your bike for its value against a bike in our showroom with a difference in value to be paid.
Consignment
Your bike will be on sale in our showroom and on online platforms like BikeExchange, Gumtree, and eBay. An upfront cost of $75 for Road Bikes and $100 for E-Bikes/MTB’s for a Roadworthy Certificate will be conducted to make sure all bikes are in great condition and can include a 3-month warranty. For bicycles over the value of $3000, we will charge 20% of the final sale value. For bicycles under $3000, we agree to a pay-out price before we proceed in selling the bike. When your bike is sold you will be notified and the agreed payment will be paid to you that week.
Bought outright
If we feel passionately enough about your bike, we may buy your bike directly from you!
